Picture taken of the "Board Walk" at Atlantic City during the first session of the Methodist Church after unification had taken place in 1939.

I was a delegate from the Wyoming Conference being then Superintendent of the Binghamton District.

The date of this conference was April 24 - May 6, 1940.

Written on the inside of the book:

We were at Hotel Arlington for the General Conference, April 24 - May 6 and at the Dennis Hotel for the Jurisdictional Conference June 18 - both conferences were held in the Municipal Auditorium, Atlantic City. 

At this time I was Superintendent of the Binghamton District, Wyoming Conference and lived at 666 Chenango Street, Binghamton, New York.

The book is "Journal of the First General Conference of The Methodist Church" edited by Lud H. Estes. Published by The Methodist Publishing House, 1940.
