I collect old books with my Daughters name either in the title or in the book "Emily". The oldest one I have is 4"x2 1/2, I have never seen the paper it is on before and it is from 1839. The name is "A Book for Emily", Providence Geo F. Daniels. It is amazing. I keep it in a special holder so not to have it fade. Awesome right!

Is there anything on the back? I am thinking it is a Valentine's Day card, because of the top hat on the male chick and the presentation of 'going off together'.
Oh boy.... I love old books so glad I found your site on FB.
ReplyDeleteBy the way I also make personalized original bookmarks, check out my work at www.ast-aspecialtouch.com.
Thanks Debby

ReplyDeleteNothing on the back, Tami - at least not anymore.
ReplyDeleteBut I have to admit the monkeys and the flag have me confused. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteI was delighted to find your book Forgotten Bookmarks in our local bookmobile and checked it out. Well done, and thank you for an enjoyable read.
