I had forgotten until this moment how much I liked Willa Cather, or Louisa May Alcott for that matter (curiously underrated given the vast fame of her most famous creation). Black Beauty I haven't read since I was a child, in the 1950s (!), and it was that very edition. I recognize the spine.
I am afraid that I have never read 'laugh and the world laughs with you' Ella Wheeler Wilcox. Is that a copy of 'Poems of Passion'? I might get the vapors.
Sounds really awesome, and what a wonderful way to honor International women's day, with excellent books by amazing women! While I wish everybody luck, I do hope I win! - LeeAnn Moore
