would be interested in reading his observations on NYC in The Four Million just over one hundred years after it was published... I might have to track that book down regardless of the drawing (surprised I'd never read it before this...)
Wow, I would love to add these books to my library, with all my friends switching to kindle and their likes, I'm still planning leaving my 2 baby kids a nice well rounded library full of real books, and I hope these will pass on, as I'm sure my kids with be getting an e-reader by the time they'll learn to read, but still, a man can hope, can't he??!!
I want to enter because these look so special; that's all I need more books but the old ones are treasures....I brought several back from PA found clearing out my Uncle's home; nothing like them for their sketches, illustrations and inside covers as well as the writing.
Ah... more Dickens. Count me in on this drawing as well. More than the Dickens, I am drawn to the little black book about 4th from the left. Can't read the title area of the spine, but the cover looks great.
