4 qts. squash
6 sliced onions
2 green peppers
2 red peppers
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons salt
5 C. sugar
1 1/2 tsp tumeric
2 tbsp mustard
1 1/2 tsp celery salt
1 1/2 C. vinegar
1/2 C. water
Combine second list, pour over squash and bring to a boil

For what it's worth, this book looks fascinating. It's going on my to-read shelf.
