I bought this book yesterday with the intention of filling it with stories. my stories, stories of friends and people I have met, and the stories I tell myself to make the days go by. it will be my book. I'd love "to be a writer," and to write a book. maybe i willpuplpublish this - or maybe this will be it...
Here goes nuthin!!
This was the only entry in the journal.

ReplyDeleteGood intentions get you only so far. Writing is a lot harder than it looks.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the saddest things I have ever read.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, sad and sweet. So much hope there, nothing to show for it.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping he or she just lost the book and started a new one.
I have done this with every blank book I've ever owned. Too much pressure.
ReplyDeleteHow many journals languish like this one? Since many of mine have, I think it's very funny. It reminds me of the children's book, "Mr. Putter Writes a Book," by Cynthia Rylant--a lovely, kind, and humorous look at writer's block through that sweetest of old men, Mr. Putter.
