  48. This is a cool give-away. It would be amazing to win it.

Just found your blog by the way. I think it's a great idea, interesting and funny and strange too...

Once I gave a bunch of books to a small private school for their library. A few years later I went to a benefit at the school and found they were selling some of the books I gave them. I bought a few back and in one of them I found the 4 consecutively numbered $5 bills that I'd stuck in there one day on the way home from the bank. I'd totally forgotten them.

I guess no one in that school was interested in reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

  49. I'd like to win it for a friend named Beowulf!

  50. That is so beautiful. I've loved Beowulf since I was first introduced to it in 7th grade by a history teacher. I think it inspired me to continue with English and Medieval lit. in college.

Thanks for sharing all of your great finds.

  51. Wait... you have a friend named Beowulf?

  52. Fantastic! Too bad book illustrators are not famous and public domain archives tend to make only text available, not the pictures. There are some real gems out there that humanity's missing.
