As some of you may know, the official Forgotten Bookmarks scanner is dying.
I can't really post anything new until I get myself a replacement, so let's have a giveaway instead.
Instead of the usual classic titles, I decided to offer up three choices:
10 Romance paperbacks:
10 SciFi/Fantasy paperbacks:
10 Mystery/Thriller paperbacks:
I'll be picking a different winner for each of the three lots, so if you're interested, let me know which collection of books you'd like in the comments. I'll announce a winner on Tuesday, Jan. 25th at 12:00 PM EST. (tomorrow)
Good luck -

Ooooo, I would love the SF books.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Sci-fi is grand. That would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the plan to do scnaning moving forward?
Oooh! I believe I would like to enter to win the mystery/thriller selection please. Thanks! =0)
ReplyDeleteMystery/Thriller please!
ReplyDeleteFun! I'll throw my name in the hat for the set of SciFi/Fantasy books...
ReplyDeleteHahahaha - I will throw my name in for the Romance books. I have never read a romance novel in my life after years of hearing my Mom quip, "Those are trashy books for small minded people" - haha. But, why not give them a chance, eh? Haha.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be entered, because I have several of them, but I wanted to say that there are some VERY good novels in that sf batch.
ReplyDeleteSF/F for me! Thank you for all your wonderful posts!
ReplyDeleteSkippy
I'll gladly throw my hat in the ring for the romance books. Gotta love a little brain candy now and again.
ReplyDeleteI don't *need* more books, but I like the look of the sci-fi collection. I haven't met a UKL book I didn't enjoy.
ReplyDeleteRe scanner-dying, would you like a gently used USB2 flatbed? When my husband and I combined households a few years ago, we retired one of our scanners since we had the same make/model. I'll have to look around to find the power cord but it's light enough that shipping shouldn't be too bad. It's a Microtek ScanMaker 5900, nothing special but it handles smaller transparent media and it's in good working order.
Put me down for Sci-Fi
ReplyDeleteRomance!
ReplyDeleteLove the mystery collection!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Paige
Put me down for the Thriller section
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Next time I would love to see a Horror bunch.
ReplyDeleteI'd like the scifi/fantasy books. Thanks!

ReplyDeletesci/fi or romance!!!
ReplyDeleteRomance books please! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteRomance, please!
ReplyDeletename in the hat for the sci-fi books please!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful giveaway! Please add me to the Sci-Fi hopefuls.
ReplyDeleteScience fiction please! I always thought I never liked SF, but a co-worker had me watch all of the original Star Trek episodes and now I'm really into SF books. Star Trek is a gateway drug.
ReplyDeleteSciFi/Fantasy for me too! Great giveaway
ReplyDeleteI would love the romance novels.... ;)
ReplyDeleteSci-Fi would be wonderful, I'm afraid my shelves are lacking in sci-fi...
ReplyDeleteThank you.

ReplyDeleteBeth
Oh, Romance, hands down!
ReplyDeleteAnd your site came up today on the WordWenches, btw, in a post by Anne Gracie.
:)
SF, please.
ReplyDeletesci-fi/fantasy please?!
ReplyDeletesci-fi/fantasy would be lovely! Also, are you looking to fund your new scanner through the site? I'd happily chip in a few bucks to keep the bookmarks coming.
ReplyDeleteVery generous of you Andrew, but I have a lead on a proper book scanner that the local university doesn't need anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe books pictures should be even better than they are now.
I'd love to win the sci-fi books. There's a few in there that I've been meaning to read and the others look interesting, too.
ReplyDeleteSciFi/Fantasy, please!
ReplyDelete(our old scanner is still going strong, but the computer it has been attached to is dying. We need to figure out if the old drivers will work on a computer with a newer OS...)
Tricia, the scanner dying may be a blessing in disguise; it won't work with my regular computer running Vista, so I use a little Dell netbook to scan and save the .tifs on a network drive. A new scanner should make life a bit easier.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I'd love to have the SciFi/Fantasy or the Romance lot... whichever of them would be great! Please!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Good luck on the lead for the new scanner!! Meanwhile ..sign me up for the Romance books please! Thanks!
ReplyDelete10 SciFi/Fantasy paperbacks for me please!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE the mystery lot!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be in for the Mystery/Thriller section please!

ReplyDeletegautami.tripathy[at]gmail.com

ReplyDeleteHow to make a choice? I like both the mystery and the romance selections and I always pass them along to someone else.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what you have "found" daily. Thanks!
What a generous giveaway! I'd like the thriller/mystery books!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, there are a few in the Sci-Fi that look amazing :)
