Today's find is a tad not safe for work, so if you want to see it in all it's glory, click the blurry version. There is no actualy nudity, but it's a vintage-pin-up-va-va-va-voom-Bettie-Page-style picture. On to it:
Pin-up post card, no writing or markings on reverse.
Found in "Operation Venus" by John Russel Fearn. Published by Scion Limited, no date (1950s or therabouts).
It's quite tasteful really.
ReplyDeleteI thought so as well, but you never know who's reading.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute - tame by today's standards. I am 81 and consider myself very openminded and even a bit envious of the young women nowadays. However, there are some areas that could stand to be toned down a bit. The picture you posted is really not a problem with me - you see much more on tv. Love your blog! Carol
ReplyDeleteva - va - voom doesn't cover it. However, she IS reading!!
ReplyDeletei must admit, i didn't even notice the book. nice catch.
ReplyDeleteSaucy yet tasteful ... something we don't get a lot of nowadays. Nice find!
ReplyDeleteCan this "bookmark" be your next give-away? Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThe good ol days when this was considered Porn :P ...and found in Operation Venus - great place to find a Venus.
ReplyDeleteVery cool and interesting website! I have few forgotten bookmarks too from used books that I bought here. Never thought someone would be collecting those bookmarks. A very unique idea!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog by clicking the "Next Blog" at the top of mine. It's so much fun. You never know what's going to pop up.
ReplyDeleteGreat book - fun finds.
Jenna
This is so cool, makes me want to get a part time job at a used book store.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! Pretty postcard and not at all offensive. She kind of reminds me of one of the Vargas girls, now he knew how to do it right, sexy but still very tasteful.
ReplyDeleteThe postcard picture looks alot like my great aunt Rita Hayworth..I could be wrong.
