How are you doing? What have you been doing this summer? Have you been riding horses? How do you like being out of the city?
I'm doing well. I just graduated from college. Everyone else in my class is anxious to get a job. I just want some time off to enjoy life.
It's been a cool + rainy summer. Springs that are usually dry by August are full of water. It looks like a jungle here.
I'm going out of town the next couple days, if it quits raining, to get hay. I need about 100 bales.
Helen + I are leaving on Friday - August 4 - to go to the Michigan Womens Music Festival. We're taking Helen's neice with us this year. She's 12. She loves dance + theatre + stilt walking so I think she'll love the festival. There's lots of activities for everyone, including children. At the festival they have a big parade with costumes + puppets made at the festival + lots of people on stilts. Raven (?) , Helen's neice, is already good at dancing on stilts so I'm sure she'll be in the parade.
It was nice talking to you. I hope you are having lots of fun.
Love,
Kate
