How are you doing? What have you been doing this summer? Have you been riding horses? How do you like being out of the city?
I'm doing well. I just graduated from college. Everyone else in my class is anxious to get a job. I just want some time off to enjoy life.
It's been a cool + rainy summer. Springs that are usually dry by August are full of water. It looks like a jungle here.
I'm going out of town the next couple days, if it quits raining, to get hay. I need about 100 bales.
Helen + I are leaving on Friday - August 4 - to go to the Michigan Womens Music Festival. We're taking Helen's neice with us this year. She's 12. She loves dance + theatre + stilt walking so I think she'll love the festival. There's lots of activities for everyone, including children. At the festival they have a big parade with costumes + puppets made at the festival + lots of people on stilts. Raven (?) , Helen's neice, is already good at dancing on stilts so I'm sure she'll be in the parade.
It was nice talking to you. I hope you are having lots of fun.
Love,
Kate

ok, i have to comment a bit on this one. first, i don't understand why there's a 1999 4th of july party in 2000.
ReplyDeletesecond, what's with the stilts?
third, and perhaps most important, what exactly do they mean by 'loving goats?'
The date of the party is April 1, 2000. April fool's day, maybe?
ReplyDeletehm, i totally didnt think of that.
